What's New on Vancouver Island View

Vancouver Island View

Bringing you ideas about the best ways to explore the island.

Over the last six months, there have been many changes in the online world. Getting information and work out there to readers is becoming increasingly difficult unless you are willing to spend big bucks on advertising. This is especially true for Google and Instagram. The answer from many top dogs in the industry is to diversify. So, that's what I've done.

You can now find Vancouver Island View on Flipboard.

"Flipboard is a social magazine filled with the best stories for all your interests."

When you view the stories on Flipboard using their app, it's literally like flipping through a magazine. And really quite enjoyable. If you'd like a new way to read my recent articles, check it out.

I'm also resurrecting my YouTube channel. I started it many years ago but never really did anything with it. However, I just uploaded a few new shorts (shorter videos) showcasing some recent outings around Vancouver Island. I hope to upload a new video each week. So, to watch video clips about the island, follow me there.

What's New on the Website

I am currently creating feature pages for each Vancouver Island destination I showcase. The first one created is for Parksville (Oceanside). And I'd love your input before I start another one!

  • Is anything missing from the feature page for this area that you feel should be included?
  • Do you own a local Oceanside business that you want to feature on the page?
  • Any other input?

Please reply to this email and let me know your thoughts. You can check it out below.

If you want your business and/or event showcased in future destination features for other Vancouver Island locations, hit reply and let me know that, too.

Parksville Feature

Check out the new Parksville (Oceanside) Page. Do you have anything to add? Let me know!

Wherever you decide to roam, have a great weekend!
