Wasn't it just last week that I complained about snow? The swing in weather on Vancouver Island at this time of year is often baffling, but I'll take It.

Get out there and soak up that glorious sun! The Herring Run is in full swing, so it's the perfect time to visit the beaches around Qualicum Beach and Parksville to view this amazing phenomenon.

Below are a few more ideas to help you get out and about.

Fully Updated

This archived post has been fully updated to showcase a few of my favourite local haunts. If you've only got a few days in Nanaimo, use this article to hit the highlights.

Trending

It's still a few weeks away, but this fully updated article rounds up all the Easter Events across Mid-Vancouver Island. Some require advance ticket purchases, so don't delay!

Upcoming Community Event

Oceanside Music is a non-profit organization that supports instrumental and vocal music on the east coast of Vancouver Island, from Nanaimo to Deep Bay. At various times throughout the year, their four music groups perform throughout the area. This upcoming Concert Choir will be held at Knox United Church in Parksville.
