New Post

There are so many fun, family-friendly activities to do in and around Parksville. This article shares a full list of ideas, including a few of my favourite kid-friendly restaurants.

Spring Flowers Aplenty!

Head onto the trails this weekend to immerse yourself in spring flowers, especially the Fawn lilies, Easter lilies and Rhodos. A few great places to spot them around my area are as follows (click on any name below to read more):

Community Events

Oceanside Music Spring Concerts

All performances occur at Knox United Church, 345 Pym St., Parksville.

Oceanside Concert Band and special guest, Ballenas Secondary School Sr. Band, perform Made in Canada.

Tickets available at the door: Adults $20. Students $10.

May 4th @ 2pm

Oceanside Consort A Capella Singers performs Welcome Spring. Enjoy a collection of folk, classical, pop and show tunes. All tickets are $15 and available at the door.

May 5th @ 2:30pm

Oceanside Big Band, with guest vocalist Gary Lovell, performs jazz standards and more. Tickets are available at the door. Adults are $25, students are $10, and children under 10 are free.

Multi-Cave Experience

Are you craving an adventure like no other? Head underground and explore multiple caves at Horne Lake. I can attest that this is an incredible experience. You walk, crawl, and even inch-worm your way through a series of caves to arrive at an underground waterfall.

Wherever you decide to roam, have a great weekend and enjoy that sunshine!
